KeepACard is a personal app developed and owned by an induvidual based in Denmark. Protecting your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use the Keep A Card app.

  • User Content: Photos you upload, photo names, event names you enter.
  • Device and Usage Data: Firebase may collect anonymous analytics data to improve the app.
  • Advertising Data: Google AdSense may collect data for personalized ads.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

  • Provide and maintain the app’s core functionality, including storing and displaying your photos and events.
  • Authenticate and manage your account securely.
  • Respond to your requests, including account deletion and support inquiries.
  • Serve advertisements through Google AdSense.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. Photo Storage and Deletion

  • Your photos and related metadata are stored securely in Firebase Storage and Firestore.
  • Photos remain stored until you delete them individually or delete your account.
  • You have full control to delete your photos or request account deletion, which permanently removes your data.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data based on your explicit consent (e.g., when you create an account and upload photos) and our legitimate interests in providing and improving the app.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Firebase: Provides backend services including authentication, storage, and database. Firebase complies with GDPR and offers a Data Processing Agreement.
  • RevenueCat: Used for in-app purchase management (if applicable).
  • Google AdSense: Displays advertisements and may collect user data for personalized ads. Please review Google’s privacy policy for details.

7. Data Transfers Outside the EU

Your data is stored on Firebase servers, which may be located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States. Firebase complies with GDPR and has implemented appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your data during such transfers.

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data stored by Keep A Card.
  • Rectify any incorrect or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your data and photos at any time.
  • Restrict or object to certain data processing.
  • Request data portability where applicable.

Keep A Card is not intended for use by children under 16 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Keep A Card contains advertisements served via Google AdSense. We do not send marketing emails. Ads are personalized based on anonymous user data handled by Google.
